First Saturday Gallery
Crawl
Saturday,
September 1st, 6 pm - 9 pm at the TAL. Admission
is Free. Art galleries throughout downtown host receptions
and art openings on the first Saturday of every month. A free shuttle provides transportation between
the galleries from 6 pm to 10 pm. See the online

First Sunday
Free Lecture and Membership Meeting
Open
to the public - Sunday, September 2, 1:30-2:15 pm,
with opening reception to follow. Adam McCoy
will discuss curatorial strategies for conceptualizing,
organizing, and executing exhiitions. He will
use two upcoming exhibitions at the Cheekwood Botanical
Garden & Museum of Art as a springboard for
disucssion.
Adam
McCoy is theAssistant Curator of Contemporary Art
at the Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of
Art in Nashville, TN. Previously he worked
for the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, the Philbrook
Museum of Art in Tulsa, OK, and the Hirshhorn Museum
and Sculpture Garden In Washington, DC.

Donelson
Senior Center Exhibit
In
partnership with the Donelson Senior Center, TAL
members' works will now be on exhibit in the Donelson
Senior Center located at 108 Donelson Pike, Nashville,
TN. This month the
featured artists are Mary Anne Batey (Oils) and
Karla Sanford (Watercolors). The exhibits
will change monthly so if you are a TAL member and
